Kaiser Permanente Opens Ambulatory Surgery Center in Hawaii

Kaiser Permanente recently opened a 9,444-square-foot ambulatory surgery center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The center includes a procedure room, an operating room, five endoscopy suites, and 16 pre-op/recovery bays for gastroenterology procedures and outpatient eye surgeries.

XPress Ortho Care Opens in Dyer, Indiana

XPress Ortho Care, a clinic that offers urgent care specifically for orthopedic injuries, opened in late March in Dyer, Indiana, NWI Times reported.

“The model is different than walk-in clinics and it’s different than emergency rooms,” Gary Dix, one of the company’s founders, told NWI Times. “We’re kind of filling the void in between the two.”

MedCraft Completes $13.5 Million MOB in Michigan

MedCraft Healthcare Real Estate LLC recently completed the development of the $13.5 million, 60,000-square-foot Ascension Medical Center in Howell, Michigan, REBusiness Online reported.

The construction services were provided by CSM Group, and Diekema Hamann provided architectural and engineering services.

The new medical office building will provide primary care services such as family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. The building also houses an urgent care.

Rendina Healthcare Breaks Ground on Cleveland Clinic MOB in Florida 

Jupiter, Florida-based Rendina Healthcare Real Estate broke ground on a 72,000-square-foot medical office building in Coral Gables, Florida, on April 3, according to Becker’s ASC Review. The building will be leased to Cleveland Clinic.

85,000-Square-Foot MOB Underway in Suffolk, Virginia 

Sentara Healthcare recently broke ground on an 85,000-square-foot, $34 million medical office building in Suffolk, Virginia, Healthcare Design reported.

The four-story building is expected to be completed in early 2019.

Duke Realty to Develop 37,000-Square-Foot MOB in California

Indianapolis-based commercial real estate developer Duke Realty recently announced that it plans to break ground early this summer on a two-story, 37,000-square-foot, off-campus medical office building in Santa Clarita, California.

Duke Realty will own the building, which has been 100% pre-leased by Facey Medical Group, an affiliate of Providence Health and Services, a not-for-profit Catholic health system in seven states.

The Missner Group to Renovate Clinic in Chicago 

The Missner Group plans to renovate and expand the 2,900-square-foot Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Chicago, the Daily Herald reported.
