Ohio-based broker and developer Equity Inc. recently opened Physicians Centre, a two-story, 21,000-square-foot medical office building in Round Rock, Texas.

The Burt Group, a general contractor based in Austin, Texas, oversaw the building’s construction, while American Bank N.A. provided the financing.

The new building’s tenants include Snyder Dermatology, Parkway Primary Care and Capital Surgeons Group.

Urgent Care Center Opens in Edina, Minnesota

Fairview Health Services opened up a new urgent care center in Edina, Minnesota, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

$5.6 Million Renovation of Medical Office Facility Completed in Missouri

McGrath & Associates recently completed a $5.6 million renovation of the two-story St. Louis Heart and Vascular in Bridgeton, Missouri, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

Equity Starts Construction on $32 Million Medical Office Project in South Carolina

Ohio-based broker and developer Equity Inc. recently began construction on the $32 million, 100,000-square-foot Palmetto Primary Care Physicians Medical Campus in Nexton, South Carolina.

The project is expected to be completed in late 2018.

Joint Venture Breaks Ground on Medical Center in Grand Prairie, Texas

Texas-based not-for-profit health care system Baylor Scott & White Health, micro-hospital operator Emerus and Indianapolis-based commercial real estate developer Duke Realty recently broke ground on a 27,149-square-foot medical facility in Grand Prairie, Texas.

When complete, the two-story hospital will house a full-service emergency department, an outpatient clinic, physician offices and other medical services. The facility is scheduled for completion in summer 2017.

Medical Office Project Underway in Sandy Springs, Georgia

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Global Healthcare Services was recently named the exclusive leasing agent for a medical office building scheduled to open in early 2019 in Sandy Springs, Georgia, the Sandy Springs Patch reported.

The project is currently in development by Childress Klein and MidCity Real Estate Partners.

Work Begins on $21.5 Million Medical Office Building in Brown Mills, New Jersey 

Construction has commenced on a $21.5 million, 60,000-square-foot medical building at Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey, Philly.com reported. The building—scheduled for completion in spring 2018—is being developed and will be owned by Landmark Healthcare Facilities of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Deborah and independent community physicians have leased 86% of the building, the article noted. Tenants are expected to include Garden State Diagnostic Imaging, Central Jersey Urgent Care and Epione Family Medicine.

Medical Office Building Under Development in Wilton, Connecticut

Avison Young recently arranged a new long-term, 15,000-square-foot lease with the Western Connecticut Medical Group, Inc. to act as anchor tenant for the Wilton Wellness Center, which is currently under development in Wilton, Connecticut, Real Estate Weekly reported.

The owner of the building is New Canaan, Connecticut-based privately held national real estate investment trust (REIT) Cambridge Hanover.

Western Connecticut Medical Group plans to offer primary care services at the new building, including internal medicine, women’s services, family care and urgent care.

Banner Health and Ryan Cos. Break Ground on Health Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona

Banner Health and Ryan Companies US, Inc. recently broke ground on a 29,350-square-foot, single-tenant health care clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, AZ Big Media reported. Construction is expected to be finished in December 2017.

The new clinic is slated to offer primary care services, as well as dermatology services with laser and spa treatments and x-ray imaging.

Ryan Companies is providing financing, construction and development services for the project. Ryan will also own the building upon completion.

12,418-Square-Foot Medical Office Building Underway in Georgia

Gordon Hospital recently broke ground on a new single-story 12,418-square-foot medical office building in Adairsville, Georgia, the Rome News-Tribune reported. An urgent care facility and a family practice program are expected to move into the building by the end of 2017.

Ryan Cos. Planning Medical Office Building in Blaine, Minnesota

Ryan Companies US Inc. is planning to construct a 50,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building in Blaine, Minnesota, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

Ambulatory Care Center Planned in Baltimore, Maryland 

University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) recently announced that it has received regulatory approval for a new 10-story, 200,000-square-foot ambulatory care center at the UMMC Midtown Campus in Baltimore, Healthcare Design reported. The new building is expected to offer outpatient and care coordination services for patients who have chronic diseases.

Construction on the new center is scheduled to start this summer, and the building is expected to open in 2019.
